Ok so honestly, we don’t even know how to start on this incredible day!! We had an absolute blast from start to finish and are truly so grateful that we got to be a part of it all. Booking a California wedding was a total bucket list moment for us and we are so thankful that it was Avrielle and John’s day!
Avrielle & Johns day was full of God, love, laughter, tears and immense emotion. Over the last few years they have both been through a lot, fighting some serious battles together, but hearing the stories and seeing the love shine throughout this day was just something else. We can’t even describe it – but we feel these pictures will show you some of this!
They got married in the absolutely beautiful McCormick Ranch, Camarillo, where the entire wedding was outdoors. The ceremony took place in the gardens with trees and flowers blooming all around us. We stayed on the grounds for photographs as this little family ranch has so much character and so much to offer. The camarillo mountains swept down in the background and the buffet dinner and dancing took place with the sun setting behind us – it was actually magical!
Sometimes we shed some tears behind our cameras at weddings, (by we, I mean mostly me – Julie!) but I’m not going to lie… I BALLED!! Ryan had a good chuckle at me when I walked over to him with a blotchy face crying, ‘I’m just so happy to be here!” Because I genuinely was! It wasn’t just the immense emotion of the day… it was genuinely happy tears that this was real life and that this is something we get to capture and be a part of. We say it all the time but having people let us in to be a part of their day is truly such an honour and just so special.
Avrielle and John did something a little different and went for a ‘first look’ before the ceremony and then read each other their vows in private. This was such a special moment with just the two of them stealing a few moments on their own.
The day ended with a bouquet toss, some crazy dancing and a sparkler send off. The perfect ending for a perfect couple!
