Aryana & Connors Intimate Elopement at Dunluce Castle, adventuring along the Causeway Coast
When Aryana got in touch about me being their photographer for a dreamy Dunluce Castle elopement, I couldn’t have been any more excited!
These two were a dream to work with from the very first email. I clicked with Aryana instantly and I knew her vision for her day was nothing short of special!
They didn’t want the traditional big wedding day with all the frills, they just wanted to sanctify their love together with a couple of very special witnesses and be happily married with no stress!
When debating over plans in one of the first emails, Aryana said, “The most important thing is that we’re both there, we can get some amazing photos and eat some good food afterwards haha!” – I LOVE these priorities!
When choosing the date, they picked this very special weekend in August as it would mark 10 years since they started dating. Aryana had taken advantage of the leap year and actually proposed to Connor (YOU GO GIRL!)
So onto the very special day itself…
Aryana and Connor both got ready in the stunning Old Bushmills Barn. An old converted barn that is perfect for bridal/morning prep, with plenty of space and flooded with natural light.
They barn is surrounded by beautiful gardens, where they went on to have an emotional first look before the ceremony, with their siblings and friends watching from the balcony in the distance!
We then headed to Dunluce Castle where they had a beautiful ceremony officiated by Steve the NI Wedding Celebrant, exchanging vows on the clifftop overlooking the most breathtaking view of the Causeway Coast.
Their ceremony was full of emotion, where they exchanged personal vows. They had just a handful of close friends/family present and finished it off with a  Persian cultural tradition where Aryana’s sisters poured sugar over them, through the veil. An interpretation of this custom is that the sugar represents the bride and the groom and this act is in the hopes that every contact between them will result in sweetness!
After their ceremony, we explored a few locations along the Causeway Coast, including Whiterocks Beach and Dunseverick Castle. Honestly, I could have explored all day with these two!! We ended the day by heading back to the Barn, where we celebrated with the most incredible spread of food that Aryana’s sisters put together (Like, I’m still dreaming of it to this day!), a Prosecco tower that brought all the fun to the party, and ending with cake that their best friend made!
Every single detail from this day was carefully thought out and I couldn’t love it anymore than I already do!
